Outdoor Power Equipment Services
Here at Rental Ranch, we offer full service and repair for most lawn and garden equipment and other small engines. Located in north Wichita, KS, we have been locally owned and operated for more than 50 years. We are open six days a week for your convenience.
Our technicians have years of experience under their belts and participate in ongoing technical and factory service training. They provide excellent lawn mower repair, as well as chainsaw, trimmer, and small engine services and repairs. We service and repair every brand we sell, and our brands of small engines are found on most equipment. We also offer lawn mower blade sharpening and chainsaw sharpening. Our team is STIHL® certified!
Too busy to visit the dealership? Rental Ranch offers convenient pickup and delivery services. Fees for pickup and delivery depend on the amount of distance traveled.

Lawn Mower and Riding Mower Full Service
These tasks are included in our lawn mower services:
- Change engine oil and oil filter if equipped
- Install new air filter
- Install new spark plug
- Install new fuel filter if equipped
- Check ignition and compression
- Inspect and service carburetor as needed
- Inspect drive unit – belts, bearings, pulleys, etc
- Inspect and charge battery and cables as equipped or needed
Lube chassis, transmission, gear box and chains as equipped.
- Check and adjust clutch cable
- Check and tighten handles
- Check safety interlock
- Check and inflate tires
- Treat fuel system with stabilizer for winter
- Check engine-cooling fins and clean as needed
- Adjust valve clearances on overhead valve engines
- Sharpen and balance blade
- Clean mower deck-top and bottom
- Inspect wheels and adjust as necessary

We can perform the following maintenance tasks on all Stihl equipment models, or any other advanced diagnostics or repairs as needed:
- Check ignition and compression
- Clean air filter
- Check chain saw sprocket & bar
- Sharpen chain
- Check spark arrestor in muffler
- Adjust carburetor and inspect fuel filter
- Clean unit
- Check and replace spark plug
- Check trimmer head and wind with line
